An expression of the desire to return to the original, primary, untamed and pure character of the wine, which the terroir and the nature gift us.
Grape Varieties: 100% Mavrud
Winemaking: Natural winemaking - wild fermentation in stainless steel tank with no additives used. The team at Zagreus let the wine evolve naturally avoiding any manipulation. No fining and filtration are used at any stage of its creation. Before bottling, a maximum of 30 mg/l of sulphites are added. No barrel ageing.
Tasting Notes: Pure, powerful and complex, with lively ripe black cherry and blackberry notes, a hint of liquorice, very elegant with ripe tannins with a good weight but a vibrant character with the support of its acidity.
Food Match: Roast pork, lamb, BBQ ribs
A remarkably natural and lively Mavrud wine created with minimal intervention. From organically grown grapes, with spontaneous fermentation in an open vat, no barrel ageing, bottled with minimal sulphites. Limited edition.
